Welcome to Area IV Learning Technology Center's website. Area IV is one of fifteen Learning Technology Centers in the state of Illinois, funded through the Illinois State Board of Education's eLearning program. Area IV serves six Regional Office of Education covering 17 counties in East Central Illinois. This encompasses one hundred and eight public school districts. The purpose of the centers is to support school districts integrating technology to support classroom instruction and student achievement.

Around Area IV


Marshall High School CUSD #C-2 Marshall High School is located in Clark County and has an enrollment of around 400 students. Receiving an EETT grant in the spring of 2010 the staff sought to improve academic achievement by transforming of the process of teaching with the incorporation of one-to-one computing and other technologies. The initial goal was to have students utilizing technology in an average of at least three periods daily by the end of the 2010-2011 school year. To implement the grant ten teachers volunteered to serve as lead teachers for the project and with the two grant co-leaders began by explored observations of technology integration in other districts. Spiceworks rescheduled again
Due to the weather forecast we have rescheduled the Spiceworks workshop for Tuesday, April 8, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Spiceworks is a free complete network management & monitoring, helpdesk, PC inventory & software reporting solution to manage everything IT in small and medium businesses software package. We are still accepting registrations.

Classroom Observation Tools Showcase
A showcase of classroom observation tools is being held Wednesday, April 9th. Take advantage of this opportunity to hear vendors talk about their product and to have your questions answered.

WEB Resources to Build Your Universal Design for Learning rescheduled
WEB Resources to Build Your Universal Design for Learning has been rescheduled for May 7th. It will be held at Eastern Illinois Area of Special Education/Boardroom.

Deadline for E-rate form 471
The filing deadline for filing form 471 is Wednesday, March 26, 2014. Form 470 has to be filed 28 days before form 471 is submitted making the deadline February 26th.
